My newest series of work Carragh will be debuted at the Ireland Glass Biennale in Dublin. Huge thanks to all the judges for selecting the work to be shown, these pieces are created using a combination of glassblowing, kilnforming and coldworking techniques so its rewarding to get the good news that the hard work has paid off!

James Maskrey will be teaching at Bild-Werk Frauenau this June. I’m very excited to be joining him as his teaching assistant for the week long course in the beautiful Bavarian Forest in South Eastern Germany, for more information on the course head over to their website, its a great place with lovely people and an incredibly creative vibe… Oh and they have a beer vending machine, what more could you want!

From April through to September this year I will be showing alongside some incredible artists that have all been involved in the glass scene in Sunderland. Feeling very privileged to be associated with this cause and represented with some absolute pioneers of the glass world. Happy Birthday to the National Glass Centre and if you are anywhere nearby it’s definitely worth a look as its going to be a cracking exhibition showing the past, present and future of contemporary glass.
‘We will celebrate our anniversary with an exhibition featuring work by artists who have helped to establish Sunderland as an international centre of excellence for Studio Glass, in the years both before and after the launch of National Glass Centre.’

The Glass Factory, Boda Glasbruk, Sweden
Cannot wait to be involved in the project Glass Tech-Hack this December. Glass Tech-Hack is an innovation project in collaboration with The Glass Factory, Boda glasbruk, Sweden and other collaborative partners. It runs from 2018 - 2020 and arranges events or live streaming directly from the researchers office or laboratory to the studios of The Glass Factory. Thank you to Matt Durran, The Glass Factory, Louis Thompson and everyone who has made this happen.

This August I will be undertaking the first part of a month long residency at North Lands Creative, working through the remainder of the time in November. I’m very much looking forward to having the opportunity to explore and experiment with new ideas and avenues within my practice as well as being at North Lands for their Glass Nexus Forum 4th - 5th August 2018. Hopefully new work will be on the horizon soon… here goes nothing!

Very, very excited to share the news that the National Glass Centre have acquired two works for their collection. Feeling over the moon! The university of Sunderland and the National Glass Centre are places very close to my heart having both studied and worked there so its very special that they have chosen to select two Torsion pieces from the recent Gifted Glass exhibition.

July 6th - August 19th 2017 saw Vessels at Vessel Gallery, London. A group exhibition of glass works by members of the Contemporary Glass Society. With over 120 entries, I was so excited to be selected as Best in Show. A really lovely article written in CGS’s Glass Network by Katharine Colman summarised the exhibition and I even made my first ever cover! Thank you CGS & Vessel Gallery.
